After being Honorably Discharged from the United States Marine Corps in 1995, I started looking around for a job;

I worked retail, restaurants, and more. I had fun but it was not what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. 

 

I decided that I wanted to work in TV or Radio, so I started working at a radio station in Jackson, MS. After about two months I had my own show from 11-2 weekdays, and I was having a blast, So I started doing parties on the side.

 

To be honest I enjoyed the radio station but DJing on the side pays more. So I went to work for a company called Pro DJ’s. I did that for about 2 years, at the same time I was working for a TV station shooting and editing video. I started thinking, how great it would be to open my own business, playing music and shooting video. However it took a few years before I decided to take a leap of faith and just do it. Now the dream is a reality,

Yes this is my full time Job. This allows me to spend more time working with my clients to insure that they have the event they have dreamed of .The Day I can not meet with my clients before and event is the day I will find something else to do.  My Family always told me, “ If your going to do something, give it your all and give it your best”. This is why I have devoted

my time to making “THE DJ”  more than a  part-time Mobile DJ service but a business that gives back to the community..

At the Office of “THE DJ” we know how important it is to find the right person for your event / wedding. That is why we encourage you to do your research before you pick your DJ.  We have been doing this for over 14  years and we know that  it would be easy to just call up the guy from the local radio station and be done with it.  However , there is so much more to DJing an event / wedding than playing music.  The right DJ will spend time with you to insure that the music that is played is centered around your likes and dislikes.  We have learned that just because it is the #1 song on the charts, its not your number one. 

If I told you that I am the #1 DJ in Northeast Mississippi, then I would just be patting myself on the back.  The only one that can rate an EVENT DJ is someone that has used them or been at one of their events.  There is no rating company out there that rates EVENT DJs/ Wedding DJs,  only radio stations DJs, and that is not the same thing.  I have worked hard to make sure that I give 100% to every event that I do. Talk to vendors in the area, see who they have worked with and who they would use. Take your time and get to know who you are working with, this will insure that your big day is what  you have dreamed.  There are other Good DJs in Northeast Mississippi, however at the office of the DJ We strive to be better than Good.  If you talk to the vendors in the area, That have worked with us, they will tell you that We do more than just play music. If we can help with anything after we arrive to you event, we do.
